It's been fun to remember Pumpkin Parties past and the wonderful friends who participated in them. . . Jason Mumford's abstract pumpkin art, Ammon Allred wearing the same sweater every year, Rob Price's creative use of the stem, that funny Dutch couple who ATE the raw pumpkin pieces they carved out. The Pumpkin Curry Soup and Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies are the same as they ever were, but somehow, this party has morphed from an event for urban singles into a party that's all about the kids. I guess a lot has changed in our lives, and the Pumpkin Party adapts, like all great family traditions.
