I can't believe this kid is six years old.
We made him a homemade ice-cream cake for his "actual" birthday. (As opposed to the "party" birthday, which will apparently require a pirate ship cake.)
He was thrilled about his gifts . . .
. . . and spent the next two days building new Legos and playing with his sister. Which is exactly what my six-year-old loves to do most.
