We have resisted becoming a dog family for years. Austin has some allergies, and I thought that two small kids brought chaos enough to the house. But the kids are bigger now, and Austin started to cave, and the next thing we knew we were on a waitlist for a Golden Retriever / Poodle mix puppy. We went to meet her today. It was love at first sight. She's sweet and a bit shy, and loves to snuggle up with the kids. She did a lot of licking but no nipping. We met both of her parents too -- in fact, Gavin really bonded with the Poodle-dad, Chester, who has a great personality. I think this little lady will be just right for us.
