Cousin-a-rama

My camera now lives at the bottom of this pond, at Clear Creek Ranch outside Zion National Park. But thanks to everyone else's cameras, I have pictures to post of the fabulous time everyone had at Austin's family reunion. (Thanks Sharon and Kristen!)

The pond was really fun, despite the fact that it swallowed my camera.

This is a rare photo of Lucy and Rowan out of the water.

So many fun cousins to play with! These are all Austin's siblings' kids, plus three belonging to his cousin Lisa.

One of the best parts of hanging out with Gram and Papa and the Gray cousins is they all love art. Gram took us to the Springville Art Museum for the Spring Salon show -- including her own multimedia installation "Red and Navy." Lucy wants to be an artist like Gram.

Aunt Elicia is also an artist. Lucy helped her make buttons for jewelry. Lucy also experimented with Jackson Pollock techniques in watercolor at Gram's house. There was paint splattered everywhere. I'm glad Lucy has a place to be creative without somebody (me) griping about the mess.

Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Fisher's for more cousin fun. Lydia and Kara brought their kids from Washington and Arizona so my parents could have all the grandkids together.


There was even a brand-new cousin, just a week old: Deacon James McDermott, Rosie and James' new little future Utah Rugby player. Currently about the size of a rugby ball.

It's hard to say what the highlight was -- sleeping over at the dinosaur museum, or driving this little jeep all around the neighborhood!

The kids were amazing during all the driving, flying, and sleeping in strange places. (See next post for the strangest of all!) We scored another set of free tickets by giving up seats in Chicago, so we are looking forward to coming back to Utah for another visit!
