4. Idaho

We drove back from Montana through Idaho, and stopped in Oxford to visit my Grandma Fisher. It was so fun to just drop in and see her. She looked wonderful. The kids ran around outside, enjoying their break from the car ride, while we visited.
I just love Oxford. I used to think it was the peace and quiet that made it such a nice place, but now that we live in Vermont I'm realizing that it's not the rural quaintness that makes Oxford wonderful. I'm not sure what it is. Maybe just a lot of great memories of being there with my family, and escaping there to study on the weekends in college.
As we continued south on our road trip, I dropped in to visit my Grandpa Nix. He's always been so energetic but he's been ill lately and a bit more frail than I'm used to seeing him. But he was full of great stories and it was fun to see him.
